STRYKERSVILLE — Investigation is continuing into a three-vehicle accident which injured several people and caused a mess at Route 78 and Factory Road.
The accident occurred 9:15 a.m. Thursday when log truck struck a pickup, Wyoming County Emergency Services officials said.
The log truck went down an embankment, shearing off a utility pole and stopping just before it would have hit a house. The pickup continued through the intersection and struck a second pickup which was waiting to turn.

A person from one of pickups was taken to Wyoming County Community Hospital for treatment. Two others were treated at the scene.
The state Department of Environmental Conservation responded along with a cleanup agency to recover the chemicals. Following a short investigation it was determined there was no immediate safety concerns with the chemicals involved.
The investigation is being handled by state police.
Strykersville firefighters and rescue personnel responded to the scene, along with troopers, DEC and Emergency Services personnel.
Those responding also included Monroe Ambulance, WG Becker & Sons Towing, DMR Towing, Karson’s Towing, T&R Recovery, Verizon and NYSEG crews.
