Man steals Frito Lay truck from Carlie C’s store in Dunn, leads troopers on chase – WRAL News

— The manager of a Carlie C’s grocery store said a man stole a Frito Lay truck and sped away, leading law enforcement officers on a chase.

According to the manager, the truck was stolen from the parking lot of the Dunn store on East Cumberland Street around 7:30 a.m. on Friday.

The driver led state troopers on a chase through Johnston County. The chase ended on Interstate 95, north of Enfield, when troopers used stop sticks to bring the truck to a halt.

Deputies from the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office and state troopers from Johnson, Wilson, Nash and Halifax counties all responded.

The driver was taken to the Harnett County jail.

No one in the store was injured during the chaos, the manager tells WRAL News.
