You can help Santa and his elves spread holiday cheer to families in need by donating to the Stuff the Truck event, a drive-through toy drive presented by the Skylight Foundation set for this Saturday, Dec. 4, from 10 am to 2 pm at Market Square Park in Cleveland.

“We not only distribute to those in the greatest need in the city of Cleveland throughout the holidays… we have gotten to a point where we can keep the toys around to help children in stressful situations anytime they are involved with the Cleveland Police Foundation or Cleveland Fire department,” said Jonathan Goldston from the Skylight Financial Group during an interview on WKYC Studio’s show We the People.

WKYC Studios is the media partner for the Dec. 4 toy drive, which will be held outdoors at the corner of W. 25th Street and Lorain Avenue, across from the West Side Market.

Event organizers are asking for donations of unwrapped gifts of $20 or more in value suitable for children ages newborn to 18-years-old. You can also make a monetary donation with checks payable to the Skylight Foundation.

During the toy drive, people are asked to stay in their cars and a member of the Stuff the Truck team will greet them and collect donations. Santa and his elves will also be there to say hello.

Toys will be distributed by the Cleveland Police Foundation. The foundation  supports and participates in community programs and initiatives which build stronger relationships between community members and police officers.

“I have a close relationship with Santa Claus and we really made this a great event. Skylight has been incredible as far as gaining momentum and giving to more kids across the city,” said Keith Sulzer, liaison to the Cleveland Police Foundation, during an interview on We The People. “A hundred percent of what you give will go to our families in need. It’s an awesome event.”
