Greater Milwaukee Car & Truck Show returns to Wisconsin Center

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — On the market for a new car?

A trip to the Wisconsin Center could help make your choice much easier.

The Greater Milwaukee International Car and Truck Show is back in person after a delay because of the pandemic.

“It’s auto show time. This is a great time to buy a vehicle, get out into the market — you know — get ready for spring with a new vehicle,” John Pentler, General Manager, Uptown Motors said.

More than 300 brand news cars, from all of the top brands, are parked on the show floor for you.

“You can see everything — the wide variety. There’s the EV’s, the electric vehicles — in so many models of brands. There are new hybrids. There are new crossover SUVs,” Andrew Schlesinger, President, Andrew Automotive Group said.

Auto show participants say some of the vehicles here — you won’t see at your local dealership.

And right now, car makers are also handling a widespread parts and chip shortage.

“But the good news is all the cars, all the ’22 models that are here you can go and still buy one,” Jim Tolkan, President, Auto Dealers Association of Metro Milwaukee said.

Depending on what you want, you may have to order from your dealer.

But from now until March 6, you’re able to come here to shop and compare.

“So then, when the time comes to make a decision you’ve had the opportunity to sit in them, touch them, get an idea of what their price is — and then it makes your shopping experience much quicker and much more efficient,” Tolken said.
