A vehicle being driven by an alleged drunk driver on Interstate 90 Tuesday slammed into a Washington State Department of Transportation truck.

The Washington State Patrol said the WSDOT truck was providing traffic control for a disabled vehicle that was blocking a lane of I-90 west of Easton about 3:30 p.m. when the sedan ran into a WDOT attenuator.

There were no injuries but the driver was arrested for DUI.

Attenuators are credited with saving numerous WSDOT workers from injury or death.
