Supply chain logistics firm ArcBest will host a hiring fair in Houston on Jan. 13 for city truck drivers to join its ABF Freight division.
ABF Freight, a less-than-truckload carrier providing transportation services across North America, has been in business since 1923 and employs more than 10,000 people in the U.S. The company is looking to fill 15-20 full-time and part-time City Driver positions and current has more than 100 employees in Houston.
“Our Houston service center is important to the ABF network, and we are growing our team in this area to accommodate business growth,” said ABF Freight President Seth Runser in an announcement. “ABF has a strong, values-driven culture that’s rooted in almost a century of providing a great experience to our customers.”

Candidates can visit 5880 Kelley St. in northeast Houston on Thursday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Appointments aren’t needed. The company seeks to hire full-time and part-time Class A CDL city drivers who are at least 21 years old. Sign-on bonuses of $2,500 for full-time city drivers are available. Drivers and dock workers receive benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage and a pension plan.
